Behind the weather

Same sky.
Different forecast?

A little context makes the numbers more useful.

Different ways to read the atmosphere

Weather providers can use different computer models, observations and update schedules. The location or time period behind a forecast may also differ, even when the city name looks the same. That can lead to different predictions for rain, wind or temperature.

Compare the same thing

Check the location, forecast hour and most recent update. A daily weather symbol summarizes a period; it does not describe every moment of that day. Looking at the hourly forecast can give you more context.

Leave room for change

The atmosphere is complex, and a forecast is a prediction. Small differences in starting conditions can grow over time. New observations can change the outlook, particularly further ahead.

Different forecasts are a reason to look more closely, rather than proof that one app is always right.
